Microsoft Ads
Connect your Microsoft Ads account to GrowthLoop to put ads in front of your customers on the Bing, AOL, and Yahoo platforms.
How GrowthLoop and
Microsoft Ads
works
Microsoft Ads is a pay-per-click platform that allows you to serve ads across AOL, Yahoo, Bing, and their owned/partner sites. It’s a great complement to the suite of sites included in the Google Ads family, another popular paid media option available as a GrowthLoop destination.
Requirements
To set up Microsoft Ads as a destination, you must have the following credentials :
- A username and password for your company’s Microsoft Ads account
- A Customer ID
- An Account ID
You must also have created at least one Customer Match audience manually in the Microsoft Ads interface. When you create a Customer Match audience in Microsoft Ads, you will be asked to agree to the Terms & Conditions. Once you have accepted these terms and manually created the audience, GrowthLoop can successfully send audiences via the Microsoft Ads API.
If you have these credentials on hand and have previously created a Customer Match audience, you can skip down to Setting Microsoft Ads as a Destination.
Finding Your Account ID
You can find your Account ID by visiting this link. The numeric series that follows the tag “aid=” at the end of your organization’s URL is your Account ID.
Finding Your Customer ID
Similar to the Account ID, you can also find the Customer ID in the URL. The numeric series that follows the tag "cid=" is your Customer ID.
Once you have your Customer and Account IDs, you’re ready to connect Microsoft Ads as an audience destination!
Setting Microsoft Ads as a Destination
1. Select Destinations from the left rail of your GrowthLoop home screen.
2. Click New Destination on the top right.
3. Scroll to the Ads section and click Add Microsoft Ads.
4. You will be redirected to a Microsoft Ads login page, where you will enter the login credentials you use to access your company’s Microsoft Ads account.
5. Once you have entered these credentials, you will be redirected back to the GrowthLoop application. A modal window will appear asking you to enter the following information:
Destination Name: A custom name for your Microsoft Ads destination.
Sync Frequency: The frequency at which GrowthLoop will export audiences to your destination (hourly or daily).
Refresh Token: DO NOT EDIT. GrowthLoop auto-populates this field based on the Microsoft Ads authentication performed in the previous step.
Customer ID: Your Salesforce security token
Account ID: Your business unit ID
Click Create and you are set to export your first audience to Microsoft Ads! You can confirm that your Microsoft Ads account is connected by clicking Destinations on the left rail.
Finding Your Audience in Microsoft Ads
To find an exported audience in Microsoft Ads, navigate to Tools > Audiences. Your audience will land here as a Customer Match List.
Happy exporting!
