Try GrowthLoop and Snowflake

Why use GrowthLoop and Snowflake?

Snowflake is a cloud data storage and analytics solution with a focus on AI technology. The platform includes analytics tools, data lake and data warehouse tools, and privacy and data governance tools. Snowflake can be used to build a composable CDP, which uses Snowflake as the data warehouse in its foundation.

GrowthLoop can connect with Snowflake to use that data in the creation of audiences and customer segments, and then store those segments to use with data activation and marketing tools

GrowthLoop is a Snowflake Select Technology Partner, and connecting GrowthLoop to Snowflake is a popular use case!

Common use cases for GrowthLoop and Snowflake

Common use cases for a GrowthLoop and Snowflake integration include:

Analyze cohorts

Easily create a cohort of customers using GrowthLoop’s drag-and-drop audience builder. Send this audience to Snowflake for further analysis.

Research for new products

Before bringing your new product to market, you need to show the potential revenue, starting with your existing customers. Build an audience of customers who purchased a similar product. Send this audience to Snowflake for further analysis.

Feed data to internally developed systems

Many marketing teams have internally developed systems, like an email, product pop-ups, reporting, or something else. If it doesn’t have an API or similar connector that GrowthLoop can use as a destination, you can instead send the audience to Snowflake to then activate in your internal tool using the existing data pipeline.

Activate data from multiple clouds

For companies that have multiple divisions or multiple clouds, you can build an audience in GrowthLoop and send it to Snowflake, which can then connect to your other clouds or data sources.

Cloud and AI compatibility

Snowflake Data Cloud is compatible with the three most popular cloud hosting solutions: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. Snowflake is also compatible with a variety of tools that use machine learning (ML) algorithms to automate some functions of your marketing processes.

How to set up GrowthLoop and Snowflake

GrowthLoop gives you tools to build audiences using your data, which you can then store in Snowflake to use in your marketing campaigns. To get started, you'll need an audience in GrowthLoop; Snowflake warehouse, database, schema, and table names; Snowflake account ID; and Snowflake username, role, passphrase, and private key. Note: You should have some data already stored and organized into tables in Snowflake before connecting it to GrowthLoop.

Step 1

Log into Snowflake, and click the upper-right toolbar in your query editor to locate your warehouse, database, and schema names, and make a note of them.

Step 2

Locate your account page, and make a note of the role listed under your username.

Step 3

Click the drop-down on your username, and make note of the account ID under the “Log out” button.

Step 4

Generate a private key in Snowflake based on their directions.

Step 5

Go to Destinations in the GrowthLoop platform.

Step 6

Search for and select Snowflake.

Step 7

Configure the Destination based on your needs. Enter the Table name, Warehouse, and Schema information you noted previously. Also enter your account ID, role, private key, and passphrase for login.

Step 8

Click Create to connect the accounts. You can verify the connection by checking the Destinations page in GrowthLoop.

See more step-by-step detail in GrowthLoop’s Snowflake documentation.
